Yang Chenrui, from Taiwan, will soon open his first snack bar in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, next, he expects to bring Guizhou agriculture products to go global, according to reports on March 27.
At the age of 13, Yang went to study in the United States, where he met his wife; in 2015, he got married and then moved to Guiyang, where he opened a Taiwan snack store.
"Delicious foods are soul-comforting. I hope they can bond the hearts of people in Guizhou and Taiwan, " Yang added.
The post-90s opens the restaurant in the Huaxi District, Guiyang, mainly to sell Taiwan-style foods like braised pork rice and fried chicken.
For better tastes, he hired a chef from Taiwan and bought local seasonings.
Upon his arrival in Guiyang in 2015, Yang first set up a food processing factory selling Taiwan-style foods. In 2022, he opened a fresh food supermarket near his home and in early 2023, to extend his food processing factory chain, he began to select a site for his snack bar.
With a series of preferential policies that have been initiated for self-employed Taiwan people, Yang made his way to expand businesses.

In the near future, Yang, the secretary general of the Taiwan Businessman Association Guiyang, looks to establish a sales platform with youths from Taiwan who now live in Guizhou to promote Guizhou's tea, blueberries, prickly pears, kiwis, and other quality agricultural products via social media.
"Food bonds hearts. And infinite strength comes from unity. In a place for chasing dreams, that’s what I can do for sharing opportunities with youths from Taiwan living in Guizhou, and also for Guizhou’s growth," Yang said.
